BMIT Fiesta 2006

BMIT FIESTA, an yearly ritual held at BMIT, is anxiously awaited by not only by the students of BMIT but also by the students of different technical colleges of Rajasthan and beyond. The two day long carnival isfull of fun, frolic, excitement and above all a feeling of doing and getting into something different, something extra-ordinary, something beyond excellence.

BMIT FIESTA provides an ideal ambience to the budding technocrats to show case their skills, their talent of make extra-ordinary out of something ordinary. The electrifying environment of the festival help students identify their hidden potentials and capabilities and at the same time teaches them some of the most important lessons of their life – working in team and achieving with team, respecting the capabilities of their peers, fighting and winning in the most healthy and fair way in a competition and above all accepting and learning from achievements and follies of their own and others.

The two day fun-packed event comprised of the technical inter-college events ‘QUASAR’ on the first day, wherein the students displayed their technical skills on the subjects far beyond their curriculum starting from the smallest of all ‘Nanotechnology’ to the mightiest of all ‘Rocket propeller Technology’. The other day displayed that the technocrats are good not only when it comes to showing off their technical skills but also are the best when it comes to enjoyment - dance and party. This amazing side of the technocrats was best displayed at the cultural program ‘ ABHIVANDANA’.

The technical symposium QUASAR was packed with following back to back events.

  • Ad Rem (Paper presentation)
  • Technovarta ( Hindi Debate)
  • Circulus In Probando ( group Discussion)
  • Adverbum (technical antakshari)
  • Melle(English Debate)
  • Cadit Quaestio (quiz)

For the event of ‘Ad Rem’ (paper presentation), Mr. Ajay Srivastava, Director, STPI, was the chief technical person. Topics far beyond curriculum like Blue Ray, ENOSE, Nanotechnology etc were approached. Vidit Saxena and Ridhi Jain of BMIT stood 1st and Ujjwal Gupta from SKIT stood 2nd.

The topic of for Technovarta (Hindi Debate) was “Yuvaon main Paschatya ki or Andhi dorh - Uchit ya Anuchit”. The chief judge for the event was Mr. Anil Singh, Director RAJCOMP. The event was hugely popular and attracted technocrats from various colleges. Uditi Sharma of RCEW stood First and Tripti Jain BMIT stood runner up in the event.

In Circulus In Probando (group Discussion), various topics like Mercy killing and Paperless working were discussed fiercely. Shri Satish Chaturvedi, Associate Professor, Subodh Shiksha Samiti was the chief arbitrator for the event. Shalin Kotia of Swami Keshwanand Institute of Technology got first prize. Mahak Miglani of BMIT stood second.

Adverbum (technical antakshari) was an added attraction of the Fiesta. Mr. Manoj Kumar (Placement Officer IIIM) was the chief guest of the event. After various audio-visual rounds Prem Prakash Sharma & Sanveer Puri of SKIT won first prize and Jasmeet Singh and Praveen Soni of BMIT stood second.

Melle (English Debate) was also organized and the topic of discussion was ‘Dress code in the colleges - should be followed or not’. Mr. Rajendra Joshi, GM Mahindra and Mahindra was the chief guest for the event. Aparna Agarwal of BMIT stood First in the event whereas Pushpendra Saraswat again of BMIT stood second.

Cadit Quaestio (quiz) was another event in the same fun filled Fiesta. Various questions on general facts, history, literature, current affairs etc. were asked in the event. Mr. Devdhar (Wing Commando, Air force Station, Ajmer) was the chief guest for the occasion.  Shalin Kotia and Sameer Singh Puri of SKIT won the 1st prize and Nishit Anand and Piyus Rao of BMIT stood Second.

A very fitting end to this two day long fun filled extravaganza was the glittering cultural eve ‘ABHIVANDANA’ – a perfect place for the technocrats to show to the world that they are the achievers in whatever trait they indulge in- be it technical or beyond technical they remain the best. The evening was highly successful and was attended by eminent personality of Rajasthan, technocrats, bureaucrats, educationalists, Principle and Directors of various engineering colleges.
The ‘full of life’ evening comprised of prize distribution for appreciating the achievers, mesmerizing western folk and classical dance and singing performances, laughter skits, trendy ramp walk and as an icing to the cake a highly charged DJ party with mind blowing music and lights. All the eminent speakers of the evening motivated the emerging technocrats by congratulating them for their various achievements

The two day long event ended with high cheers and laughter. The event left an everlasting image and memories in the hearts and minds of all those who were a part of this lively festival. The highly successful  Fiesta was managed by ELITE – the dynamic and amply motivated team of BMIT students under the broad spectrum of Student Activity center (SAC)
